Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"A wonderful spot for coffee and cake in Frankfurt. Lots of options for coffee and kuchen. The coffee was strong and the kuchen not too sweet- just the way we like it. The space is small and busy, with lots of locals. Worth the detour from the typical tourist spots."
"Wacker's is a family owned coffee retailer and cafe with over a hundred years of history starting at this shop at Kornmarkt. They have a few indoor tables and a few outside standing tables as well if you want to have a morning caffeine fix. We stopped by early on and were served a very good espresso macchiato and black coffee. The coffee is strong, bold and smooth, a very blend for morning coffee. Were very happy with the coffee at this Wacker's Kaffee shop and found what was served at the Cafe Wacker branch at Schweizer Straße to be very good as well."
"Located in Frankfurt am Main, I recently visited a cafe that is known as the most historic and oldest of its kind in the city. This establishment takes pride in roasting its own coffee beans, which it then sells directly. I have heard that numerous other cafes in the area choose to purchase and use their beans, suggesting a strong reputation within the local coffee scene. It's clear that they are popular with individual customers too, as there are always a good number of people visiting whenever I have been there. Whilst I wouldn't claim to be a professional barista with a detailed palate, I am someone who enjoys and drinks coffee on a daily basis. From my perspective, the coffee served here tastes notably fresh and is very good indeed. A practical tip for those planning a visit is to consider the timing. If you intend to go during lunchtime, be prepared for the possibility of a rather long queue. It would likely be more advisable to visit outside of peak hours to avoid this wait."
"If you are looking for something traditional and a place where you would find a soul here is the right cafe in Frankfurt. Only a few tables inside and outside(just in summer) but you can smell the history and heritage of the brand. The place is not convenient for long time spend just like have a cup of coffee and continue to city exploring or getting back to work. Highly recommended."
"Cute little coffee shop with some seatings indoors and outdoors. The coffee they made at the café was just made of their signature coffee base, which was ok. But this place was really amazing for buying coffee beans. Many kinds (even exclusive kinds) available and they were of really good price compared to many other places (probably as they roast the beans themselves)."
"A small café with limited indoor seating, most Europeans prefer sitting outside. It’s a historic place with friendly staff, offering coffee beans and assorted chocolates for sale. The coffee has a rich, deeply roasted flavor that leaves a strong impression. In addition to the cakes displayed by the counter, there are also more options on the right side of the counter."
"Very good coffee. Always a que at the enterance. Little space to sit and few tables to consume the drinks you buy. Worth going there."
"I asked them to grind it for hand drip, so I brought it. I also bought espresso beans as a gift for a friend. The coffee chocolate is really delicious. The chocolate-coated coffee beans go really well with coffee."
